This page explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and what choices you have. We've tried to write it the way we'd explain it to someone leaning over the fence, not like a document built to confuse you.
What We're Actually Doing Here
Before anything else, understand what this site is. Termite Chicago is a referral service. We are not a pest control company, we do not employ exterminators or technicians, and we do not perform any termite or pest work ourselves. When you submit a form or call (312) 675-2299, an independent, licensed pest control provider in your area receives your information and follows up with you directly. That provider quotes the job in writing, sets the price, and performs (or doesn't perform) the work. Providers may pay us for connecting them with your inquiry. Calling (312) 675-2299 is free and puts you under no obligation to hire anyone. We don't warrant, guarantee, or take responsibility for any work a provider does or doesn't do. Any dispute about service, pricing, or quality is between you and that provider.
What We Collect
Through our newsletter signup and contact forms, we collect what you choose to give us: typically your email address, first name, and sometimes a phone number or other details you include about your situation. If you call (312) 675-2299, that call may be routed or logged in connection with your request. We don't go digging for information beyond what you submit.
We also use Google Analytics (GA4), which relies on cookies and similar technology to tell us how many people visit the site, what pages they read, and generally how traffic behaves. This is aggregate, statistical information. We use it to understand the site, not to identify you personally.

How Long We Keep Data
We retain form submissions and email addresses for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain our mailing list, and keep basic business records. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we'll do so except where we need to retain limited records for legal or accounting reasons.
Your Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA and General)
If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we've collected about you, to request deletion of it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" as those terms are defined by law.
